Karnataka in Turmoil as VHP Protests Against Release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Movie ‘Pathaan’

Bengaluru – Members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) staged protests in multiple cities across Karnataka against Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan‘s movie, “Pathaan.”

The protesters gathered outside local theaters and claimed that the film was anti-Hindu and promoted “love jihad.”

The VHP members held up placards and shouted slogans against the film and Shah Rukh Khan, demanding that the film be banned, and the actor apologized for the alleged offense.

The police were present to maintain law and order and prevent untoward incidents. No arrests were made.

The filmmakers have denied the accusations and stated that the movie is a work of fiction and has no intention of hurting anyone’s sentiments.

This is not the first time the VHP has protested against a film.

In the past, the organization has staged similar protests against movies such as “Padmaavat” and “PK.”
