Having previously embodied the dynamic role of a police officer in Maddam Sir, Bhavika Sharma reveals her deliberate choices in steering clear of such clichéd characters.

“I did essay the role of a bahu in Jiji Maa, but it was an unconventional representation, far from a subdued personality. My stand against embracing stereotypical roles is firm. I refuse to embody characters like a makkhi or a dragon. Both the storyline and my role must resonate with me,” states Sharma.

The Unexpected Journey to ‘Ghum Hai Kisike Pyaar Mein’

Dwelling on how she secured her part in Ghum Hai Kisike Pyaar Mein, Sharma narrates an unexpected twist.:

“Ironically, when Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein was offered to me, it was a surprise. I had already auditioned for a different series and was on the brink of beginning my shoots. However, in an unexpected turn, the producers opted for another actress. Naturally, it was a setback,” shares Bhavika Sharma.

However, fate had other plans.

“Every cloud has a silver lining. Integrating into an already-established show was daunting. The initial weeks were especially trying as the anticipated viewership was elusive. However, as time unfolded, everything fell into place,” she adds with relief.

A Harmonious Bond with Co-star Shakti Arora

Elaborating on her camaraderie with co-star Shakti Arora, Bhavika Sharma beams with enthusiasm.

“Shakti, being far more experienced than I am, brings a wealth of knowledge to the set. We share numerous scenes, and his unwavering support has been invaluable. We truly complement each other, and working alongside him is an enriching experience,” she concludes.
