The Bhojpuri film industry is mourning the loss of 25-year-old actress Akanksha Dubey, who died by suicide at a hotel in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
She was in the city to shoot an upcoming project and stayed at the Sarnath Hotel.Â

Akanksha debuted in the Bhojpuri film industry with the movie Meri Jung Mera Faisla and was featured in films like Mujhse Shadi Karogi, Veeron Ke Veer, and Fighter King.
The young actress had carved a niche in the industry with her acting skills.
Her music video Ye Aara Kabhi Hara Nahi, featuring her alongside Pawan Singh, was released on the day of her tragic death.
Whether she passed away before or after the song’s release remains unknown.Â
The track was penned by Jahid Akhtar and Imamuddin, composed by Priyanshu Singh, and sung by Pawan Singh & Shilpi Raj.
Just hours before her demise, Akanksha shared a video of herself on Instagram, showcasing her belly dancing skills to a Bhojpuri song.
Her sudden death left her 1.7 million followers and fans in shock, with many expressing their disbelief in the comments section.
Akanksha was rumored to be in a relationship with co-star Samar Singh.Â
She had shared a picture with him on Valentine’s Day last month, seemingly making their relationship official.
She had recently completed shooting for her project, Mitti, which also stars Yash Kumar and Raksha Gupta.
She is directed by Chandan Upadhyay and produced by Arvind Prasad and Prem Shanker.
