Gali Janardhana Reddy is a politician and businessman from the Indian state of Karnataka who has been associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He has faced allegations of illegal mining and corruption and has served in various positions within the party.
Reddy has recently launched his political party called ‘Kalyana Rajya Pragati Paksha‘ in the run-up to the Karnataka Assembly Elections, which are scheduled for 2023.
The BJP has previously groomed Reddy and his brothers for political success but has distanced itself from him due to his involvement in the mining scandal and subsequent jail sentence.
The launch of Reddy’s party could impact the BJP’s chances of winning at least 20 Assembly seats in the state.
He has also announced that he will be contesting from the Gangavati constituency in the forthcoming Assembly polls in Karnataka.
